About the Project
Solid As A Rock is a community art initiative created by Elizabeth Wattely, featuring commissioned painted rocks artist and curator Lakeem Wilson in celebration of the historic Forest Theater and the enduring spirit of South Dallas.
The project consists of 20 original hand painted rocks, each one uniquely designed to symbolize resilience, unity, and the foundations that hold communities together. Like the Forest Theater itself, these rocks represent places and people that have remained strong through change and continue to inspire future generations.
